Hi! I’m Iris Wischmann, Director of Hospitality at Dutch Beer Concepts—the umbrella organization for two breweries and four hospitality businesses. With a team of 160 employees, we run 100 Watt Brewery, Café 100 Watt, Lighttown Brewers, Stadsbrouwerij 013, Gastrobar Luzt, and Albatros Streetfood.

Each of these businesses has its own unique concept, but they all share one key element: extravagant hospitality and an immersive experience down to the finest details!

Growth with Nostradamus

Over the past eight years, Dutch Beer Concepts has grown from 30 to 160 employees, making it impossible to manage with simple Excel schedules or a basic planning tool. And keeping personnel records in a Dropbox folder? That was no longer an option! It was time for innovation and professionalization.

We opted for Nostradamus because it provides a centralized dashboard for all locations. Thanks to its integration with our POS system and accounting software, we can see our financial status at a glance.

Additionally, managers can now plan based on forecasts and budgets, which immediately improved financial performance. Even the daily weather forecast is taken into account!

With Nostradamus, staff scheduling is now streamlined, reducing planning time to just one to two hours per week. Shift swaps, hour corrections, time tracking, internal newsletters everything runs through the system. We have been using Nostradamus alongside Untill and Resengo for four years now, and we highly recommend it to any entrepreneur who wants more insight and control over their business. It has significantly improved labor productivity, and having an overview across multiple locations makes operations smoother and more efficient.

Employee Satisfaction

Since implementing the employee satisfaction module, we now have much better insights into overall workplace morale. At the end of each shift, employees can rate their work experience, allowing us to track individual satisfaction levels over time. If there is a significant issue, we can quickly engage in a conversation with the employee.

Employees can also add a motivation via the app when rating their shift. However, this feature was rarely used. Even a single keyword explaining their satisfaction would have been helpful. We shared this feedback with Nostradamus, and they have now introduced pre-set motivation options to improve accessibility.
