Employees can easily submit their availability in the Employee App. The planner takes this into account when creating the schedule, ensuring better alignment with personal preferences. There is also an option for ‘reverse availability’, where employees are considered as available by default and only indicate when they are unable to work. This approach enhances engagement and contributes to optimal workforce scheduling.

Employees can claim shifts directly through the Employee App. Nostradamus also allows for open shifts in a pool, where multiple employees can sign up, and the planner selects the best candidate for the shift.

With the shift swap feature, employees can arrange replacements themselves if they unexpectedly can’t make it, even if they are already on the schedule. Employees can request shift swaps through the Employee App, find a colleague to cover their shift, and managers can approve the request. Nostradamus automatically updates the schedule accordingly.
