Customer succes story Succes story: Martini Hotel GroupWhen Ilona Dalebout-Brakema and her husband, Fred Dalebout, started the Martini Hotel Group in 2011, everything was still done on paper. Automation was therefore a high priority for the hospitality entrepreneurs from Groningen. At the Horecava trade fair, they discovered the possibilities of Nostradamus. And although it may sound contradictory, automation plays a crucial role in this. By leveraging smart digital solutions, we spend less time on administrative tasks—time that we can use to pamper our guests.” Designed Specifically for the Hospitality IndustryWhen they first saw the capabilities of Nostradamus at the Horecava in 2011, they were immediately excited. “Until then, we scheduled shifts on paper. The features of Nostradamus appealed to us, especially the control and management information. But more importantly, the people we spoke with truly understood the industry. It was reassuring to know that we didn’t have to explain the daily realities of hospitality to them.”For years now, they have been using the workforce planning software with great satisfaction. Each business within the Martini Hotel Group can create its own schedules, while Ilona maintains an overall view. “We can generate reports for the entire group, providing valuable insights.”Integration with AFAS Adds Significant ValueBeyond the system’s convenience and management insights, its integrations add substantial value to the Martini Hotel Group. After switching to the HR system AFAS, they deliberately chose to integrate it with Nostradamus. Ilona explains: “Thanks to the integration, we no longer have to manually extract worked hours from Nostradamus and enter them into AFAS for payroll processing. This not only saves us time but also reduces errors.”The integration works both ways. When a new employee is added to AFAS, they automatically appear in Nostradamus for scheduling.In the hospitality industry, where many employees work on an on-call basis, this integration is a real game-changer. Ilona adds: “Registering irregular hours, as is common with on-call staff, used to be very time-consuming. Now that it’s automated, our employees are paid precisely for the hours they’ve worked, and we have more time to focus on our guests.
